Back to the discussion at hand - Ms. Chantalle (Miss Fofah) is a nature lover, who enjoys the outdoors. However, she has never really been keen on gardening and some of her reasoning is noted below.
Our discussion started after briefly talking about gardening and she answered the below questions :
: Oh so like you kill plants is that it??
: Never.. I have never killed a plant in my whole life.. I do have green hands according to my mother but I just don’t have a passion for gardening, it’s too much work.. I can water what someone planted though 😄...
: Alright thank you
Can you tell me more about why you’re not into farming /gardening ?? Does it have to do with your life style or the work to put on maintaining the garden or maybe because of your back ground perhaps you weren’t exposed to such??
Hmmm I never really grew up gardening, to be honest. I would go to the field and plant maize when I visit my granny but that’s about it. When I got a little older and coming from a family that likes organic food my mom and sister would plant fruits and vegetables around the house and my job was to water them and eat when ripe haha.. So I think it became a pattern
Also subconsciously I think I don’t really like getting my hands dirty so because growing up no one really wore gloves to plant things I absolutely hated... And it became embedded in me hence I rather water the plants and if I get any dirt in my hands I wash them. It’s ridiculous I know.
: I totally understand you,, it’s a common reason we find in this business.
I think many people especially in big cities feel the same way about it. Many people associate gardening with getting dirty and they don’t like that. Some people even told me when they were kids to be sent to work in the garden was like punishment so since they don't really like it.
I must say that l like the fact that you and your family are very health conscience and enjoy organic food.
Interesting fact - Did you know that plants are alive they are beings like you and in my personal experience I got to understand that they provides some sense of peace, happiness and responsibility. You get satisfaction when they grow healthy and strong it’s like you were looking after a child.
So, I would like you to experience that for yourself, I suggest that you plant something it doesn’t have to be huge,, just start small..
: Yeah I think you’re right, some people do feel like that and coming from a psychological stand point that does mess you up a little.. One tends to associate that particular activity to a feeling they experienced and if it’s negative they wouldn’t put themselves through that.. So I think it’s very important to deal with those negative connotation one might have to a certain thing that way they can be able to move past it..
I love nature in general,, I like being one with it, grounding myself and it honestly brings me some sense of peace and relaxation. I am one person who is always thinking but when I am in nature I don’t think of anything it’s very soothing..
People think am crazy when I tell them I talk to trees or flowers,, it makes me feel happy and for whatever reason I resonate with them... So yeah .. I support you 100%. You need to educate more and more people.. It’s for their own good and the good of the earth anyways.
….. I always speak to plants too you are not alone and you know they do listen and they can feel the energy they are given in a environment. It's even scientifically proven a happy house = happy plants and the opposite is true and proven. Some people in Japan use flowers as "Sonen" (vibe or energy) detection and purification.
So thank you for taking your time discussing with me about this.
But I would like you to plant something or I will come myself to your house to set everything.
: I will try and plant something and if I don’t by the end of lock down, we make other arrangements.
I have a bonsai I have taken care of for years now ha ha does that count 😂😂
: Lol, it doest but i suggest you start with something edible.
: Oh ok cool,
Will find something and do as u say.
: That’s will be great and I hope you going to really enjoy it.
: I am sure I will .. Thanks for everything
: Thanks to you...
: Anytime my dear.. it was fun
